One of the informational resources for lung health is the ALA, American Lung Association. This is a non- profit organization that was founded by numerous doctors and health care professionals to increase awareness of lung health and aid in research and medical developments.
The American Lung Association has many wonderful resources available for free to help aid someone in smoking cessation. The number one cancer associated with smoking is lung cancer. The ALA feels it is important to educate the public and create awareness of this terrible disease. They have set up a help line 1-800-lung-usa, where you can call and get more information on lung health. Their website, http://www.lungusa.org, has more information that you can shake a stick at in relation to smoking cessation and overall lung health.
This is a wonderful resource that anyone can use to help aid them in quitting smoking.
